Dear Daisy Mae,
Your Auntie Gwynne and I found you absolutely charming yesterday afternoon. You need to tell Big Mama that you're not really bitey--you're simply chewing, or masticating, we might say. We know that lots of youngsters masticate when they're your age, but we also know you'll grow out of if.
Love,
Uncle Bubba
Dear Daisy Mae,
Your friends Lana and Joy would like to tell you how happy they are that your peoples rescued you from the shelter. Joy says don't worry about the chewin cuz your little and cute and the peoples wont stay mad at you for very long, but watch out for the rolled up newspaper if they ever make one of those they will make that bottom burn! Remember not to make a pee pee on the floor because that makes the peoples mad as hell! We hope your peoples and our peoples will get together sometimes soon so we can play with tennis balls and sniff each others butts! Have fun nappin and chewin!
Much Puppy Love,
Lana and Joy
P.S. Sara Beth and Terry say what's up!
Dear Daisy Mae,
I have seen your movie, and I think you should tell your peoples that with cuteness like that you can do all the biting you want!
I hope Big Mama and Daddy bring you into where Mama works someday soon, because down the hall from Mama is Dr. Emily (me), who loves little puppies, especially ones with soft ears and sleek fur (you).
Anyway, welcome to your new home. From the way you dealt with that frog, I can tell your peoples only THINK they're in charge. You'll let them know soon enough.
best,
Emily
Daisy Mae, you are completely gorgeous. I hope that you continue to share your personal reflections with us and chronicle your daily comings-and-goings on your dog-blog.
I'm not sure how much detail you'll want to go into regarding the "masticating." That sounds a little gooey...
are channeling faulkner?
